The Fume Chillum is created through a process of vaporizing a precious metal, such as silver or gold, into clear glass. These fumes are melted into the glass, giving the glass an iridescent aesthetic. As these pieces are used, the metal fumes in the glass refract light much like a prism, which causes the pipe to appear to change colors. These pieces are slender, smaller pipes without a carb. They have a pinched, or “restricted,” narrow bowl directly across from the mouthpiece and offer a similar experience of smoking rolled cannabis without paper.
